School closure update 19.03.2020
Good morning,
You will all have seen the news last night. Though school closure was somewhat expected, the magnitude of what this means for our pupils, pupils, community and staff is unprecedented. As parents you will no doubt have lots of questions, particularly in terms of which sectors are classed as key workers and which pupils the government is referring to when they speak of vulnerable children.
The government are due to publish more specific guidance on this today. In addition, I will be working with other leaders in the Trust to develop a clear strategy for the forthcoming days and weeks. This will also include guidance and direction from both the government and the local authority. Later today I will update you with further information.
As for today and Friday, we continue as normally as possible and I assure you all there will be an element of clarity as we go into the weekend.
Thank you.
