School closure 9.1.25
After much deliberation and consideration, we cannot safely open school tomorrow, Thursday 9 January. Whilst the main roads around school have been gritted, the side roads and pavements -including Bracken Bank Crescent – have not been gritted and are icy and unsafe. Temperatures predicted overnight are as low as -10, meaning conditions are likely to worsen rather improve. We wanted to inform families this evening. Our apologies, this certainly isn’t the start to the new term we anticipated.
